1. Eligibility
To qualify for the $30 Amazon gift card, participants must:
- Be a residential monthly pay customer of either Pacific Gas& Electric (PG&E), San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), or Southern California Edison (SCE)
- Have an internet-connected thermostat
- Have electric air conditioning
- Not have rooftop solar installed before 2024
- Use WattShift for a complete electric billing cycle
- Provide WattShift with the electrical bill from that cycle and a baseline electrical bill in the same cycle from 2023, or a written estimate of bill savings
- Provide feedback about their experience using WattShift, consisting of at least 60 words, following the first billing cycle
2. How to Participate
- Download and install the WattShift app
- Use the app continuously for one full electric billing cycle
- Submit a feedback form with a detailed review of your experience using WattShift
3. Gift Card Issuance
- Qualifying participants will receive a $30 Amazon gift card, which they agree to use in accordance with Amazon’s terms and condition
- The gift card will be sent via email to the address provided during the feedback submission within 30 days of completing the feedback requirements
The gift card cannot be exchanged for cash or other substitutes
- WattShift is not responsible for any technical issues, delays, or errors in the delivery of the gift card
- Qualifying participants are responsible for their own tax implications from receipt of the gift card
4. Timeframe
- The participant must complete the feedback submission within 14 days of the end of their billing cycle to be eligible for the gift card
- The participant must start using the WattShift application in the calendar months of June-September 2024 and complete feedback by the 14th of November to be eligible to claim the gift card
5. Verification
- Participants are required to either submit a copy of their most electrical bill since using WattShift and their electrical bill from the same service month in 2023, or provide a written estimate of their bill savings
- WattShift may verify that the participant has used the app continuously for the billing cycle, this could include thermostat activity and login activity
- The feedback form will be reviewed for completeness, including specific details of the participant’s experience with WattShift - feedback must be over 60 words to qualify and bad-faith low quality content will not be considered valid
6. Privacy
- Personal data provided will be used for the purpose of administering the gift card, the feedback process, and in line with our privacy policy
- WattShift will not share personal information with third parties without consent, except as necessary to fulfil the terms of the gift card issuance
7. Changes to Terms
- WattShift reserves the right to modify or terminate the gift card program at any time without prior notice - any changes will be communicated through our website or email
